Introduction
SHapp (Social Happening App) is a realtime social networking and map platform that allows users to discover people, conversations, events, and activities happening around them.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how users can control their data.
By using SHapp, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following information:
- Email address and account registration information
- Username, profile information, profile settings, and optional avatar
- User-generated content, including messages, reports, and event content
- Event creation, event participation, join requests, and invitations
- Approximate or realtime location data when visibility is enabled
- Blocking, reporting, and moderation-related information
- Device information, IP address, browser information, and technical logs
- Purchase and entitlement information related to optional in-app purchases
SHapp does not collect or store users' payment card information.
Location Data
SHapp is built around realtime location-based social discovery.
When visibility is enabled, your approximate or realtime location may be visible to other users and used to provide:
- Nearby users discovery
- Local chats and conversations
- Event recommendations
- Social map functionality
- Activity suggestions
Users can disable visibility at any time through SHapp's Hide/Show controls.
When visibility is disabled, your location will no longer be publicly shown to other users.
How We Use Information
- Create and maintain user accounts
- Display profiles and user-generated content inside SHapp
- Provide realtime map and social features
- Display nearby users, activities, and events
- Enable messaging and social interactions
- Support event creation, participation, invitations, and event chat
- Process optional in-app purchases
- Improve platform safety and moderation
- Maintain platform security and prevent abuse
- Detect fraud, spam, and malicious activity
- Improve application performance and user experience
Messages, Events, and User-Generated Content
SHapp allows users to create and share content, including profile information, map chat messages, direct messages, event details, event chat messages, join requests, invitations, and reports.
User-generated content may be visible to other users depending on the feature, privacy setting, event participation status, and visibility state involved.
SHapp does not claim that messages are end-to-end encrypted. We may process messages and related metadata as necessary to provide the service, maintain safety, investigate reports, and comply with legal obligations.
Data Sharing
SHapp does not sell personal information to advertisers or third parties.
Certain profile information may be visible to other users, including:
- Username
- Optional profile picture
- Approximate location when visibility is enabled
- Messages and content shared in map, event, or direct message features
- Event creation, event participation, and invitation information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the platform, including:
- Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and realtime services
- Google Play Services and Google Play Billing
- Vercel for hosting and infrastructure services
These providers only receive information necessary to perform their services.
Google Play Billing and Purchases
SHapp may offer optional digital purchases, including profile customization features and premium map appearance options.
Purchases are processed securely through Google Play Billing.
SHapp does not collect, process, or store users' payment card information. Payment processing is handled by Google Play Billing.
Purchase information may be retained to:
- Verify ownership of purchased features
- Restore purchases
- Maintain purchase entitlements
- Prevent fraud and abuse
Blocking, Reporting, and Moderation
SHapp includes blocking, reporting, and moderation tools to help users manage unwanted interactions and help us respond to abuse, harassment, spam, scams, unsafe activity, and other policy violations.
When a report is submitted, we may process the report reason, optional details, the reported content or account, account identifiers, event identifiers, message identifiers, timestamps, and related technical information needed to review the report.
SHapp may review reported content and take moderation actions where appropriate. Moderation helps support user safety, but it does not guarantee that all harmful content or behavior will be detected before users encounter it.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide application functionality
- Maintain platform security
- Prevent fraud and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce our policies
Certain information may be retained for legitimate security and legal purposes even after account deletion.
Account Deletion
Users may request account deletion through the application where available or by contacting support.
When an account is deleted:
- Profile information is removed or anonymized where possible
- Public visibility is removed
- Access to the account is terminated
- Some user-generated content may be removed, anonymized, or retained where necessary
Some information may be retained if required by law, fraud prevention, security investigations, or legitimate business purposes.
Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect user information.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and devices.
Safety Notice
SHapp allows users to meet and communicate with other people.
Users are responsible for exercising caution when interacting with strangers or attending offline meetups organized through SHapp.
SHapp does not currently perform identity verification for all users.
Age Guidance and Children's Privacy
SHapp is intended for users aged 13 years and older. Users under 18 should use SHapp with appropriate parental guidance and exercise caution when interacting with other users.
SHapp is a social networking app where users can interact, share location when visibility is enabled, send messages, create or join events, and report or block other users.
SHapp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that information from a child under 13 has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to remove such information.
International Use
SHapp may be used internationally, including within the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other regions.
By using SHapp, users understand that information may be processed and stored in countries outside their place of residence.
Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Update your profile information
- Disable location visibility
- Block or report users and content
- Request deletion of your account
- Request information about how your data is processed

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
Continued use of SHapp after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
